With a deep commitment to supporting women through the profound shifts of motherhood, she creates nurturing spaces for self-discovery and empowerment.

Motherhood transforms every part of a woman — mind, body, and soul. Yet the journey of Matrescence — the transition into and through motherhood — is often overlooked, leaving many women feeling unseen, unprepared, or disconnected from themselves.

This introductory Matrescence Awareness & Embodiment Workshop is a deeply nourishing space created for mothers in the early years postpartum — beyond the first 12 months — who may be navigating the ongoing shifts of identity, energy, purpose, and self.

It’s a space for those who are ready to move from simply surviving to gently thriving.

Blending insightful Matrescence education with guided reflection and restorative yoga, this workshop offers you space to:

Reconnect with yourself through nurturing, reflective practices.

Experience gentle, restorative yoga designed to foster mind-body connection, supporting your nervous system & creating space for reflection, introspection, and the integration of your learnings.

The Baby Massage & Mamma Time course is a 5 week course and is a wonderful way to tune in with your baby, meet other local mums and enjoy the many incredible benefits baby massage - perfect for babies 6 weeks+.

We plan for our birth but what about our postpartum? In this session I will support couples in creating a practical, nurturing and nourshing postpartum plan to ease the transition into parenthood. Topics will include:

  • Setting boundaries & visitors

  • Role of the partner

  • Sleep and deep rest and how to get it

  • Postpartum food and snacks

  • Postpartum hormones

  • Self care for both mum and dad

  • Matrescence

I will also answer any questions or address any worries around what our postaprtum. Having been a postpartum doula for 4 years and been through the fourth trimester three times myself I cannot wait to share my knowledge and experiences and offer practical support and advice on this very important topic!

The session will include a workbook, snacks and tea.

Foundation Course: Returning to Exercise Safely - Starts 14 May

When returning to exercise there are some key components that we need to be looking at. Although the doctor gives us the all clear at that 6 week check up there are so many factors to consider before jumping straight back into exercise.

In this 6 week Foundations Course we’ll go over the importance of taking things slow and setting up a strong foundation first, as this is going to allow you to build strength from the inside out and help you progress safely and confidently. The breath work I teach in this course will not only assist you in returning to the exercise of your choice but also assist in supporting you in everyday life too!


Cost: $120 for 6 weeks

Dates: 14 May - 18 June 2025

Day + Time: Wednesdays 12pm - 1pm

What to expect over the 6 weeks

Week 1 - Basic Anatomy and the introduction of breath work and the important role it plays in setting up a strong foundation. We’ll also look at daily habits that can assist us and some gentle mobility work

Week 2 - We add on the next layer and that is our pelvic floor work. We go over visualisation and activations to support you in your training and everyday life. We add some movement to this to see how the switch ons assist us.

Week 3 - We look at the anatomy of our core and how it supports us, and find your unique cue for activations and visualtions. We add in some integrative core work here too.

Week 4 - We put the above steps into practice and strat to add in more movement e.g. sagittal, even weights, bilateral. We also add in a test that can be done when you’re in various exercises to make sure you’re progressing safely.

Week 5 - We continue with Movement but look at different ways the body will move when load has been added. (transverse, frontal, loaded)

Week 6 - Cardio week. This week we go over options for cardio and workshop any questions you may have.

Mothers Group - April

Biology never intended for us to mother our babies on our own. Mothers deserve to be surrounded by others walking the path of early motherhood - sharing, connecting and supporting.

We're excited to announce The Village Mothers’ Group; a six week course designed just for you and your bub (babies aged 6 weeks to 9 months).

Each week, we'll be joined by a different Collective Practitioner to share invaluable knowledge, provide support, and help you thrive as a mum. This will then be followed by time to connect, for babies to play and for you to have tea and share the ups and downs of motherhood.

 
  • In our welcoming session to Mothers Group we open up the space to share our story and listen to others.

    Kathryn will also shares her knowledge and skills with you. Being able to use the techniques demonstrated in this session will provide you with tools for self massage with multiple benefits to your body.

    We will also run through some baby massage echniques to support relaxation, sleep and digestion.

  • Sam is a dietitian and nutritionist who focuses on Nutrition Therapy for the first 1000 day postpartum and will be joining us this week.

    We are not screened on our nutrition post birth which can lead to nutritional deficiencies going undetected delaying recovery and hormonal rebalancing.

    Sam will discuss the nutrients at risk, food sources to concentrate on. Sam will also share some incredibly nourishing postpartum recipes, tips and tools to support you in healing from the inside out.

  • In this session we will explore essential herbs and nutrients to support postpartum recovery. Learn how to naturally nourish your body, promote healing and boost energy during this transformative time and as the winter months are coming closer.

    We’ll cover gentle yet effective herbal remedies, key minerals and pracitcal self-care tips designed specifically to enhance your recovery, balance hormones and support overall wellbeing

    Each month we will connect and go through a different topic relating to your health, your hormones and preparing your body for motherhood. You will have the opportunity to ask questions and to share what comes up for you, these might be challenges, wins, past experiences. This is your time for you!

  • Nope! This is your space to prepare for the journey to motherhood, whether that's 3 months from now or 3 years from now (or longer).

These beautiful mornings are calm, nurturing and nourishing for pregnant mums no matter what stage of pregnancy from 6 weeks 40 weeks you are all welcome!

Each gathering starts with a mindful practice, followed by sharing in a beautiful supported circle. I share practical tips and tools on a different area of birth or postpartum. We finish the Gathering off with a restorative meditation. I will also bring along some homemade goodies to enjoy and warming tea.

The Gatherings are an amazing opportunity to connect with like-minded mammas-to-be and find beautiful friends to journey through into motherhood with!

Baby Massage & Mamma Time March 2025 Course

The Baby Massage & Mamma Time course is a 5 week course and is a wonderful way to tune in with your baby, meet other local mums and enjoy the many incredible benefits baby massage - perfect for babies 6 weeks+.

Benefits to baby massage include:

  • improves relaxation and encourages sleep

  • helps to relieve the effects of colic, teething, constipation and wind

  • stimulates all a baby’s major systems: co-ordination, respiration, digestion, learning ability and language development

Hi I am Kathryn, a certified Mindful Hypnobirthing Instructor and super exctied to bring Mindful Hypnobirthing Day Course to The Village Collective. You won't learn just breathing and relaxation in this course, you will learn how to amplify the effect of these using hypnosis, alongside some powerful and simple birth mindfulness.

  • The feel: cosy women's circle, a chance to meet other beautiful women, tasty snacks, warm tea, candles. Basically all the things to nourish your nervous system and get you feeling SAFE!

    Each month we will connect and go through a different topic relating to your health, your hormones and preparing your body for motherhood. You will have the opportunity to ask questions and to share what comes up for you, these might be challenges, wins, past experiences. This is your time for you!

  • Nope! This is your space to prepare for the journey to motherhood, whether that's 3 months from now or 3 years from now (or longer).

    In fact you are very welcome even if you aren't sure that you want to have a baby! The wisdom and connection you gain are still going to have a massive benefit to your cycles and hormones and life!
